Engelking Coatings is a family-owned painting and coatings business based in Lonsdale, Minnesota, built on over 25 years of experience from founder Mark Engelking, a seasoned craftsman with PCA membership and BBB accreditation, providing interior and exterior painting, staining, power washing, and ice dam care for homes and businesses.
From Teen Painter To Pro
Mark picked up a brush at fifteen, spent summers learning the trade, then sharpened his eye for detail as an Executive Chef before returning to painting full time. Foreman roles, Habitat for Humanity work, and managing multi-state Best Buy projects now guide every project, large or small, with steady, proven know-how.

Mark started painting at fifteen and never really put the brush down. After years as an Executive Chef, he brought that same focus and service mindset back into coatings, building what is now Engelking Coatings. With 25 plus years in residential, commercial, and industrial work, including foreman roles, Habitat for Humanity projects, and multi-state Best Buy jobs, he leads every project with steady hands-on oversight. As owner since 2013, and a member of PCA and the BBB, Mark listens carefully, explains options clearly, and treats every home or business as if it belonged to his own family.
